Denmark · Working

Work is the door.
Here's the handle.

Since Denmark has no retirement route, a job is how most Americans and Canadians get in. The main scheme has one number that matters: DKK 552,000 a year in 2026. Here's the working landscape, without the LinkedIn gloss.

No digital nomad visa — and no grey zone. Denmark has no remote-work permit, and working remotely for your US or Canadian employer while "visiting" on the 90/180 Schengen allowance does not give you the right to live in Denmark. To be based in Denmark you need a residence permit with work rights, full stop.
