How these lists were made

For each country we searched YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Apple Podcasts and the main expat directories for English-language creators covering moving to, living in and retiring in that country. We kept the ones with a real audience and a record of still posting, and favoured people who live there over people who visited once.

Audience sizes are approximate and were read between 16 to 18 September 2026 from Social Blade, each platform's own profile pages and Apple Podcasts. Nobody paid to be listed. Each country page explains its own method and sources in full.
