How this list was made
We searched YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Apple Podcasts, the Danish club directories and the Danish government's own English sites for English language sources about moving to and living in Denmark, then kept the ones with a real audience and evidence they are still publishing. We favoured people who live here over people who visited, and material aimed at adults planning a permanent move. Anything with no upload or post in twelve months was dropped. Denmark gave us the strongest creator field of any northern European country we have covered and almost nothing aimed at a reader over fifty, and this page reflects both rather than pretending otherwise.
Audience figures. Every YouTube subscriber count was read off the channel's own page on 18 September 2026 and every Instagram follower count off the profile itself on the same day. Every video shown was confirmed by YouTube's oEmbed service to belong to the channel named, a check that has caught mismatched videos on six of our country pages. Upload dates come from each channel's official feed and are exact. The three TikTok follower counts are Social Blade approximations, because TikTok is the one platform we cannot read directly. Where Social Blade and the platform overlapped, they matched exactly on all fourteen channels we checked, which is now six builds of agreement.
Podcast dates. Every episode count and date came from Apple's own lookup service, not the Apple Podcasts page, which reports the wrong year for most shows. Three Denmark podcasts that still rank well in search are dead and are not listed: What The Denmark stopped in January 2024, Denmark 101 with Alex Berger in December 2018, and Visit Copenhagen's own Insider's Guide to Copenhagen in February 2025.
Dates on official pages. We opened every government page individually and printed the date we found on it. Denmark's official English sites are better maintained than most in Europe but they are uneven, and the pattern is the one we have now seen in four countries: the section front doors carry no date while the pages underneath do. The arrival and CPR registration hub has no stamp at all; the healthcare card page underneath it is dated 11 June 2026. The page setting out who may legally buy property in Denmark carries no date anywhere, which for a rule that catches holiday homes is worth knowing.
What is not here, and why. There is no Reddit card on this page. Reddit has been unreachable from every tool available to us for five consecutive builds, at the search level as well as the fetch level, so we could neither confirm which Danish subreddits exist nor read a member count, and we will not print a figure we have not seen. There is no Facebook card either. No reliable current member figure is published for any Danish expat group, and the figures in circulation trace back to undated listicles, one of which we caught contradicting a club's own website on both its size and its fee. There is also no official Danish tourism channel on YouTube here: VisitDenmark's channel last posted in April 2025 and VisitCopenhagen's has managed two videos in sixteen months.
What we rejected. Denmark Travel Podcast with Freja Andersen is a machine generated show from the Paris2Tokyo operation, which we have now confirmed in eight countries; its feed is feed.paris2tokyo.com and the host does not exist. Life in Denmark on YouTube, a channel that joined on 6 August 2026 and has posted 24 videos, is the same pattern in video. Brits In Denmark reads like a community and is published by Inwema ApS, a cross border tax advisory firm. Searching for Danish cost of living returned nine results of which seven were unsigned content farms, which is why we point you at Statistics Denmark instead. We also dropped one account that every source recommended: its owner has moved back to Japan, which his own profile says and no list had noticed.
Corrections we made in the browser. A research pass recommended four things that did not survive a look at the actual feed. One creator has left Denmark. One of the two largest Denmark based English channels now publishes mostly hotel and airline reviews filmed elsewhere. VisitAarhus's YouTube channel has 219 subscribers and posts in Danish. A well known walking channel has been rebranded and now publishes automated ancient mysteries content with no Denmark material at all, and it is still being recommended by a current best of list.

Instagram and TikTok
Nineteen Instagram accounts and three on TikTok. Seven of the nineteen are official tourism boards and the handles are a minefield: the national board is not at the obvious handle, Aarhus uses a different name on each platform, and there is an impostor sitting on Copenhagen's TikTok handle. Every one below was confirmed from the board's own site or bio. Follower counts were read off each profile on 18 September 2026; the three TikTok figures are Social Blade approximations, because TikTok is the one platform we cannot read directly.
Ellie Owens
Ellie Owens, an American mother of five living in Denmark. Named and identifiable, and she takes brand partnerships
309,000 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, and the largest account of a foreigner living in Denmark that we could find. The content is family life rather than paperwork, so set your expectations, but her saved collections are a genuinely good tour of where Danes actually go: Bornholm, Aero, Fano, Blavand, Knuthenborg, and a Copenhagen tips set.
Brooke Black

98,000 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. Life abroad, language failures and culture shocks, plus day trips out of Copenhagen, the Danish museums and a 45 things list. One of only two people we found doing this at scale who is documenting the adjustment rather than the aesthetic.
Ilana Buhl

Funny and fascinating Danish words, expressions and learning tips, winter bathing, knitting, the Danish islands, Folkemodet. Healthy engagement for the size, which is not true of most accounts here.
Expat in Denmark
Run by Dansk Industri, the Confederation of Danish Industry. An employers' organisation rather than a person, and its interest is helping international staff settle and stay, which it states

VisitDenmark
The national tourism board. Its bio states it is Denmark's official tourism account, which is how we confirmed it
434,000 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. Note the handle. It is govisitdenmark, not visitdenmark, and the obvious spelling is not the board. Highlights are organised the way a mover would want them: nature, local food, hygge, biking and hiking, must see. Engagement is thin for the size, which is normal for a legacy tourism account.
VisitCopenhagen
Wonderful Copenhagen, the capital region's official tourism organisation, confirmed from the profile's own bio
408,000 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. Architecture, food, culture, events and the outdoor city, including the harbour swimming that surprises people. One warning that belongs here rather than on TikTok: the handle visitcopenhagen on TikTok is not them, it is an unrelated account with 149 followers, and the board runs no TikTok at all.
VisitAarhus
The official tourism organisation for the Aarhus region, confirmed from visitaarhus.com
91,800 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. Guides, tips and portraits of faces and places across the Aarhus region: museums, food, nature, bakeries, places to stay. Handle warning, and it is the clearest example on this page. On Instagram they are visitaarhusofficial and on TikTok they are visitaarhus. Both are genuine and the names do not match.
Enjoy Nordjylland
Destination NORD, the official destination organisation for eastern North Jutland including Aalborg

Destination Bornholm

Bornholm sits in the Baltic closer to Sweden and Poland than to Copenhagen, it was voted Denmark's best destination three years running on the board's own account, and it is the answer a lot of people are looking for when they say they want somewhere quiet with a proper summer. The ferry timetable is the thing to check before you fall for it.
VisitFyn
The official tourism organisation for Funen and the islands, confirmed from the profile bio
16,300 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, posting in English. Market towns, cycling, hiking, the seasons. Funen is the middle option between Copenhagen prices and rural Jutland isolation, with Odense as a real city in the middle of it, and this is the only English account covering it. We left VisitOdense off because its account posts in Danish only.
Destination Sonderjylland
The official travel organisation for South Jutland, on the German border

Small account and the only one covering the border region, which matters more than its size suggests: this is where Danish house prices are lowest and where cross border life with Germany is normal. Handle warning, the website is visitsonderjylland.com but the account is destination_sonderjylland.
Anders Husa

Best known for Black Sun, the starling murmurations over the South Jutland marshes, which is a real thing you can go and watch twice a year and the single most persuasive argument for the Wadden Sea coast we have seen.
