Luxembourg has six English-language channels.
It has nine clubs you can join this month.

56 channels, accounts, podcasts, references and communities covering life in Luxembourg in English, every figure checked on 18 September 2026. The video field is the thinnest of any country we have covered: six channels in total, and only two of them are people filming their own life here. The offline field is the strongest we have found anywhere. Nine associations, four of them open to men and women, three with a reduced rate for over-60s, and the whole set costs under 100 euros a year. One of them is a free walking group that meets twice a week and covers the entire country.

If you only watch four things

Start here

Four starting points. The American who has been publishing about this country for twelve years, the person filming the practical side of it now, the walking group that will introduce you to people for nothing, and the reference page that is better maintained than Luxembourg's own.

Twelve years of an American's Luxembourg

Mike McQuaide

23,200 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, and the closest thing this country has to the person our readers are looking for: an Anglophone who arrived in middle age, stayed, took the citizenship and has documented it continuously for twelve years. Cycling everywhere without a car, food, the language, the throne handover. This is his live account, alongside TikTok. His blog stopped in 2014 and he has no newsletter.

Free transport, farms, what changed in 2026

Journey with Sophine

6,750 subscribers, 182 videos, and the single most useful channel on this page. Her stated remit is jobs, accommodation and visa applications alongside everyday life, which is exactly what nobody else here covers. Recent uploads include what changed in Luxembourg in 2026, the free national public transport, a farm in the countryside and a supermarket run over the Belgian border. Publishing monthly. We have shown the free transport video rather than the newest, which is a scenic drive.

Grey Hares Walking Group

Free, nationwide, twice a week, and the single most useful thing on this page for anyone arriving here alone. It exists because some members of an existing club, the March Hares, wanted to walk at a gentler pace, and the name tells you the rest. Two formats: Tuesdays are 10 to over 20 kilometres, Thursdays are about 7 kilometres and often finish at a restaurant. Start with Thursday. Walks reach most of the country within about 90 minutes of the capital and we confirmed a dated 2026 programme with named leaders. There is no membership: you email and say you are interested.

GOV.UK: Living in Luxembourg

Published 17 April 2018 and last updated 28 January 2026, which we read off the page's own metadata. Twenty sections: visas, residency and citizenship, healthcare, working, driving, tax, pensions, benefits, buying and renting, voting, births and deaths, documents, notaries, pets and returning to the UK. For the third country running, the best-maintained single practical English reference about a country is published by a foreign government. It is four years fresher than Luxembourg's own naturalisation page. Useful whatever passport you hold.

Six channels, and that is the whole English-language field for a country of 680,000 people. Two are residents publishing about life here, one is a language teacher, two are official bodies and one is a commercial citizenship service that we have labelled as such. Every subscriber count was read off the channel's own page on 18 September 2026 and every video below was confirmed by YouTube's oEmbed service to belong to the channel shown. Nothing anywhere covers Luxembourg healthcare, buying property, the residence permit for people of independent means, or retiring here, on video, in English. We looked thirteen times.

Luxembourgish with Anne

Anne, who teaches Luxembourgish and sells courses and exam coaching. Her surname is not published anywhere on the channel, the site or the podcast feed. Treat the teaching as good and the channel as marketing for a paid product, because it is both

27,700 subscribers, the largest relevant channel in the country. This matters more than a language channel normally would: passing the Sproochentest, the Luxembourgish language test, is a legal requirement for naturalisation after five years here, and she is the only English-language voice covering it. The video shown is her newest, from June 2026, on why B1 is the level that changes things. Her podcast, listed further down, is more active than the channel.

An American in Luxembourg

Mike McQuaide, an American who moved from Seattle in 2013 and is now a dual United States and Luxembourg citizen. A former journalist, now an English teacher, and the author of two books about living here. Luxembourg for Tourism profiles him on its own website

3,090 subscribers and 336 videos going back to 2013, which makes this the longest continuous English-language record of Luxembourg life anywhere. Be aware it is now a slow archive rather than a live channel: the most recent upload is the Grand Duke's coronation at Wiltz in October 2025 and most of the rest is two years or older. His Instagram and TikTok are where he actually posts, and both are listed below. Come here for the back catalogue, particularly the cycling and the town names.

The Grand Duchy's Portal

The Information and Press Service of the Luxembourg government, which runs luxembourg.public.lu. A state body, publishing in English, French and German

130 subscribers, and we are listing it for authority rather than reach. It is the official channel and it is genuinely active: it published the day before we checked, and before that on the Schueberfouer funfair and the Blues'n'Jazz Rallye. Short, well made films about what actually happens here through the year. If you want to know what a Luxembourg autumn looks like from the government's own camera, this is it.

Visit Luxembourg

Luxembourg for Tourism, the national tourism board. State-funded destination marketing, so read it as promotion

2,260 subscribers against 2.8 million lifetime views, from 59 videos in about a decade. Active, with uploads three weeks before we checked, but note the newest clips carry Luxembourgish titles. The video shown is Velosummer 2026, which is worth understanding before you come: every summer Luxembourg closes a set of roads to cars and hands them to cyclists. There is no separate Luxembourg for Tourism channel, this is the same one.

LuxCitizenship

2,020 subscribers. We have listed it for one reason: it is the only English-language source of any kind explaining Luxembourg citizenship by ancestry, and the United States has a large Luxembourgish-descended population who have a genuine legal question and nowhere neutral to take it. The video shown is the 2026 eligibility explainer. Check every claim about your own eligibility against the government's naturalisation page, which is also listed here, and get independent advice before paying anyone.

Instagram and TikTok

Fifteen Instagram accounts and three on TikTok. Seven of the fifteen are official tourism boards, and unusually for Europe they all post in English, because roughly half of everyone living here was born somewhere else. Every follower count was read off the profile itself on 18 September 2026. The TikTok figures are Social Blade approximations, because tiktok.com is the one platform we cannot reach directly. Two of the biggest Luxembourg lifestyle accounts in the country are not here: they are unattributed repost pages with nobody's name on them.

TikTokapprox. 11,000 followers

Mike McQuaide

Mike McQuaide, the American author listed above. Books, no relocation service

Approximately 11,000 followers and 425 videos, from Social Blade on 18 September 2026, and this is one of his two live accounts. Luxembourg life, cycling, hiking, border trips and a running joke about pronouncing Luxembourgish place names. Note the handle: it is not the same as his Instagram, and a second TikTok under his Instagram name also returns videos, so use this one.

TikTokapprox. 3,800 followers

Luxembourg City Tourist Office

The Luxembourg City Tourist Office, a registered non-profit and the city's official tourism body. Confirmed from the link in its own website footer

Approximately 3,800 followers and 128 videos, from Social Blade on 18 September 2026. The capital's sights, events and guided tours, in English. It is the only Luxembourg tourism body with a working TikTok: the national board holds the handle but has never posted, and none of the four regional boards has an account at all.

Approximately 3,400 followers and 113 videos, from Social Blade on 18 September 2026, still being tracked as active in mid-September. Restaurant and food reviews around the capital. Useful for the practical question of what eating out actually costs here, which is one of the first things that surprises people.

Not Claire in Luxembourg

An individual creator living in Luxembourg, posting under a pen name. No business attached that we could find

58,700 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, which makes this the largest lifestyle account in the country with an actual person behind it. Humour rather than logistics: the four languages, the wealth cliches, the weather, the small indignities of settling in. Worth following for the tone of the place. Bio reads here for a good time and a long time, which is the register throughout.

Instagram18,900 followers

Natasa Pavlovic

Natasa Pavlovic, a photographer and food stylist who has made Luxembourg her home for ten years. Some brand and product work appears, as you would expect from a working photographer

18,900 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, and the best engagement of any sizeable Luxembourg account we measured. Photography and food, with standing guides to Vianden, the Grund, playgrounds and farms, and where to eat in the capital. Useful if you want to see what the country actually looks like away from the banking district. Note she also posts about Crete.

Instagram23,600 followers

Anne Faber

Anne Faber, a Luxembourgish television chef for RTL with six cookbooks. She studied in the United Kingdom and worked as a reporter in London, which is why she posts in English. A commercial food brand, so expect partnerships

23,600 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. The clearest window on what Luxembourg actually eats, from someone born here who writes for an English-speaking audience. Recipes, restaurants and the television series. Her separate travel account is a different thing. Listed because food is how most people first understand a country, and because almost nobody Luxembourgish publishes in English at this scale.

Instagram4,276 followers

Expats in Luxembourg

A community page for international arrivals. Not a relocation agency and not an immigration firm, but nobody's name is on it

4,276 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. Restaurants, events and weekend suggestions aimed at people who have just moved. Small, and the operator is not identified, which we would normally hold against an account. It survives the cut because the engagement is real and there is very little else in this category. Last post about two months before we checked.

Instagram158,000 followers

Visit Luxembourg

Luxembourg for Tourism, the national tourism board. Confirmed from the link in visitluxembourg.com's own footer. State-funded destination marketing

158,000 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, and by a distance the largest Luxembourg account of any kind. Posts rotate through English, Dutch, Spanish and French. Note the handle carries an underscore: the same brand uses the unpunctuated spelling on Facebook and YouTube, so guessing from those gives you the wrong account.

Instagram51,900 followers

Luxembourg City Tourist Office

The Luxembourg City Tourist Office, a registered non-profit. Its own bio states it is the main actor in leisure, business and cultural tourism in the city

51,900 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. The capital: culture, events, guided tours, traditions and a standing travel tips series. Nothing in the handle says city, visit or tourist office, so this is one you would never find by guessing. It is also the only Luxembourg tourism body with a real presence on TikTok.

Instagram9,027 followers

Mullerthal Region

The regional tourism office for the Mullerthal, a registered body. Its bio states it is the official account of the Mullerthal Region, and the handle is confirmed in mullerthal.lu's imprint

9,027 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, posting in English with some German and Dutch. The Mullerthal is marketed as Little Switzerland and is the country's walking and rock-climbing country, about half an hour east of the capital. Posted the day we checked.

Instagram24,200 followers

Mullerthal Trail

The same regional tourism office, running a separate account for the trail itself. Its bio cross-references the region account

24,200 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, which is two and a half times the size of the regional board that runs it. A 112 kilometre waymarked hiking route through the sandstone. Listed separately because it answers a different question: not where to visit, but what there is to do here every weekend once you live here.

Instagram9,231 followers

Visit Moselle Luxembourg

The regional tourism office for the Luxembourg Moselle. Its bio states it is the official tourism account of Luxembourg's only wine region, and the handle is linked from visitmoselle.lu

9,231 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. English, German and Luxembourgish mixed. The Moselle is the eastern border with Germany, it is warmer than the rest of the country and it is where the wine comes from. Standing collections for wine, hiking, events and culture. 14,600 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, posting mainly in English. The north: the Ardennes, the castles, the long-distance walking routes and the cheapest property in the country. Standing guides for hiking with children, the Escapardenne and winter walks. Visit Minett

The regional tourism office for the south, Office Regional du Tourisme Sud. Handle linked from visitminett.lu

2,902 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026, and the smallest of the five boards by a long way, posting roughly monthly. The Minett is the old iron and steel country around Esch-sur-Alzette, now a UNESCO biosphere, and it is where the cheaper city housing is. It is the thinnest-covered part of Luxembourg online and this account is most of what exists.

RTL Today

RTL Luxembourg's English-language service, part of CLT-UFA. A broadcaster funded by advertising

31,500 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. The country's main free English-language news outlet, posting daily. Note the handle breaks between platforms: it is rtltoday here and rtl.today on TikTok, and there is a separate official account for the radio station which is a different product. Its site is listed under references.

British Ladies Club of Luxembourg

The British Ladies Club of Luxembourg, a registered non-profit founded 1969, RCS F3796

925 followers, read off the profile on 18 September 2026. Small, and listed because of what the bio says: founded in 1969, a social club for English-speaking women regardless of nationality. One of its story highlights is titled Not British, which tells you how loosely it reads its own name. The quickest way to see what the club actually does before you pay to join. Six shows, and every episode date below came from Apple's own lookup service rather than the page Apple renders, which reports the wrong year for most shows. Four have published in the last three months. Two have not, and we say so on the card rather than leaving you to find out. There is no podcast anywhere about moving to Luxembourg. Four Luxembourg shows have been delisted from Apple entirely while their pages still turn up in search, and one show that publishes daily and looks ideal is a machine-generated fake.

It is aimed at parents of young children, so most of it will not apply to you, but the episodes on choosing a school, navigating the health system and dealing with the communal administration are the clearest practical English audio about Luxembourg bureaucracy that exists anywhere. Anne, who sells Luxembourgish courses and Sproochentest coaching. The podcast is marketing for a paid product and we say so. Her surname is published nowhere on the feed, the site or Apple

133 episodes on Apple with a new one in the week we checked, which makes it considerably more active than her YouTube channel. Luxembourgish from A1 to B1, pronunciation, and direct preparation for the Sproochentest. This matters because passing that exam is a legal requirement for naturalisation after five years of residence, and she is the only English-language voice on it anywhere. Nobody independent has ever described what the test involves.

20 episodes, and the latest is 31 March 2026, which is nearly six months quiet. Flagged rather than dropped because the archive is worth having: the financial centre, policy, and a series on women and money. Luxembourg's own government stamps its front doors this month and its actual instructions in 2022 and 2023, which means anyone auditing the site from the top down would conclude it is current. It is not. We opened every leaf page and printed what we found. The British and Canadian governments maintain better practical pages about Luxembourg than Luxembourg does.

Listed despite the thin bylines because a named editor is verifiable from the press register and the reporting is real.

Luxembourg Times

Mediahuis Luxembourg. Editor-in-chief Cordula Schnuer, named in the national press council register. Subscription and advertising funded, and most of it is behind a paywall

Luxembourg's established English-language newspaper. Automated fetchers are refused entirely, so we opened it in a browser on 18 September 2026 and confirmed the domain is live and serving its own content with no sign of the affiliate or gambling contamination that has swallowed expat sites in other countries. Paywalled, which is a real consideration if you are still only researching, but it is the deepest English reporting on Luxembourg politics and the economy.

BlogPublishing daily, checked 18 September 2026

Delano

Paperjam S.A., part of Maison Moderne. Editors-in-chief Aaron Grunwald for the site and Natalie Gerhardstein for the magazine, both named. Advertising funded

Publishing daily and current on the day we checked, but read this caveat first. Delano has deliberately repositioned itself towards Luxembourg's financial community, and its own announcement of that change says it was aligned with the needs of advertisers seeking high value audiences in the finance industry. It used to be the general English expat title here and it is not any more. Still worth reading for English-language politics and cost-of-living coverage. Its French sister title Paperjam publishes no English edition worth listing.

Communities and clubs

Nine organisations, and this is the best part of Luxembourg. Every one of them has published a dated event or newsletter in 2026, which we checked individually. Four are open to men and women, which is not true of Belgium or Switzerland. Three have a reduced rate for over-60s. The oldest was founded in 1882 and costs 12 euros a year. We have printed the fee, who may join and a named contact for each, because the nationality in a club's name here tells you almost nothing about who it admits.

CommunityFree, dated 2026 walk programme

Grey Hares Walking Group

An informal group with no legal status, which it states plainly: you walk at your own risk and there is no insurance. Organisers Dan Kelly, Martin Cardew, Bernadette Scholten and Ann Overstall, with Ian Allwright running the mailing list. Contact [email protected]. Free

American Women's Club of Luxembourg

Founded 1959, a registered non-profit. Named 2026 board including president Rosana Greco. Contact [email protected] or +352 44 84 77. Standard membership 70 euros a year, and 35 euros for members aged 65 and over

Over 200 women from more than 35 countries, so American is a name rather than a condition of entry: British and Canadian women are eligible and join. It has its own clubhouse in the city, which is rare and worth a lot when you are new. The best-documented club in the country: we confirmed a welcome coffee, an author's night, a social evening and an October outing to Differdange Castle all dated in the weeks after we checked. If you are a woman over 65 arriving on your own, this is 35 euros and a diary.

British-Luxembourg Society

Founded 24 April 1947 by twenty-three Luxembourgers and one Briton. A registered non-profit, based at the Chamber of Commerce in Kirchberg. Open to men and women. Contact [email protected]. Honorary president Maitre Jacques Loesch CBE. The fee is not published anywhere, so ask

Open to both sexes, which matters because Luxembourg's two best-known British and American clubs are women only. We counted ten dated events across 2026 on its own site: the AGM in March, a hidden Luxembourg tour, an art tour at the Villa Vauban, lectures on Churchill and on Roman Britain, a summer reception, a wine tasting at a Moselle domaine and a private tour of a Turner exhibition in September. It also runs an annual Churchill memorial lecture. Cultural rather than practical, and genuinely active.

The American Luxembourg Society

Founded 1882, which makes it the oldest organisation we have found in fifteen countries. A registered non-profit under the 1928 law. Membership is 12 euros a year, 25 as a donor, and its statutes admit any person without any condition as to nationality or residence. President Sylvie Steffen, secretary general Anders Bjorkman. Post only: P.O. Box 293, L-2012 Luxembourg

Over 400 members and 12 euros a year, with the most open eligibility of any club here: anyone, of any nationality, resident anywhere. Two honest caveats. The activity leans commemorative rather than social, with Independence Day, Thanksgiving and excursions to war memorials including the Hinzert camp memorial, and the site is bilingual French and English rather than English first. It is live in 2026 but its web presence is the least current of the nine, and it publishes no email address at all, only a postal box.

CommunityFounded 1969, 25 euros part year

British Ladies Club of Luxembourg

Founded 1969, a registered non-profit, RCS F3796. Women only. Its own Instagram bio describes it as a social club for English-speaking women regardless of nationality. Twenty-five euros for the June to December 2026 part year, with no reduced rate for retirees. Contact [email protected] or [email protected]

Not British, despite the name, and one of its own Instagram highlights is titled exactly that. Honorary president is the British Ambassador. We confirmed three dated events in the weeks around our check: the British and Irish Film Festival, a wine tasting and the club's gala night in early October. It has a newcomers coordinator, which is the role you want to speak to first. Note its committee page is still labelled 2024 to 2025 and the business register lists a different chair, so write to the role address rather than a person.

All Saints Anglican Church

A chaplaincy of the Church of England Diocese in Europe, also listed by the Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe, so it serves both Anglican and American Episcopalian traditions. Chaplain Rev. Geoff Read. Contact [email protected] or +352 43 95 93. No fee

In a country this small the English-speaking church is a social institution as much as a religious one, and this is the main one. Worship at the Konvikt Chapel on Avenue Marie-Therese, Sundays at 09:30 and 10:45. It runs a live events calendar and we confirmed dated September 2026 items including two webinars and a harvest Sunday. Its own description is that it draws people from many countries and backgrounds, which is the point. One city-centre congregation, with no satellite churches elsewhere in the country.

New World Theatre Club

Founded 1968, a registered non-profit, RCS F226. Open to men and women, and to people who only want to watch. Individual membership 25 euros a year, 40 for a couple. Chair Christine Probst, contact [email protected]

English-language amateur theatre, and it welcomes people regardless of nationality, native language, accent or experience, including as crew or simply as audience. Membership brings discounted tickets, members' socials and a vote at the AGM. Its own site hides its programme inside poster images, so our proof that it is running came from a Chronicle.lu news report dated 24 April 2026 announcing comedy performances in July 2026 at the Centre Culturel Neudorf. It also competes at the European anglophone theatre festival.

Community195 euros individual, six dated 2026 events

British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg

A business chamber, open to all nationalities, though applications are approved by its council. Individual freelancer membership is 195 euros a year with no retiree rate. Chairman Andrew Notter, contact [email protected]. Its own site gives both 1992 and about 1996 as its founding year, so we are not stating one

Listed for its briefings rather than its networking, and pitched honestly: the individual tier is designed for freelancers, not pensioners, and 195 euros is real money. But we confirmed six dated events in the weeks around our check and two of them are exactly what a Briton moving here permanently needs and cannot get free anywhere: a Know Your Rights as a Taxpayer lunch, and a joint personal tax lunch with AMCHAM in late October. It also ran a session on Luxembourg's housing pressures. Worth it for a year while you sort the paperwork.

Community350+ member companies, senior rate 100 euros

AMCHAM Luxembourg

The American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg, founded 1996, a registered non-profit, RCS F1274. Explicitly open to all nationalities. Senior membership is 100 euros a year for anyone at least 60 and not in full-time employment, but note that senior and academic members get every benefit except the right to vote. Chairman and chief executive Paul-Michael Schonenberg

Around 350 member companies and a 100 euro route in for the over-60s, which is unusual and useful. Its membership brackets explicitly name seniors alongside entrepreneurs and academics, so you are not gatecrashing a business club. Its own calendar would not give us exact dates, so our 2026 proof of life comes from two other organisations' sites listing joint AMCHAM events: a February carnival party and the October personal tax lunch with the British Chamber. Weaker first-party dating than the others here, which is why it is last.

How this list was made

We searched YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Apple Podcasts, the Luxembourg press register and the country's English-language club directories for English-language sources about moving to and living in Luxembourg, then kept the ones with a real audience and evidence they are still publishing. We favoured people who live here over people who visited, and material aimed at adults planning a permanent move. Anything with no upload or post in twelve months was dropped. Luxembourg produced the smallest video field of any country we have covered and the strongest set of real-world clubs, and this page reflects both rather than pretending the balance is different.

Audience figures. Every YouTube subscriber count was read off the channel's own page on 18 September 2026 and every Instagram follower count off the profile itself on the same day. Every video shown was confirmed by YouTube's oEmbed service to belong to the channel named, a check that has caught mismatched videos on five of our country pages. YouTube's upload feed was unavailable for every Luxembourg channel on the day we built this, so upload dates come from each channel's videos tab, which gives a month rather than an exact day. The three TikTok follower counts are Social Blade approximations, because tiktok.com is the one platform we cannot read directly.

Podcast dates. Every episode count and date came from Apple's own lookup service, not the Apple Podcasts page, which reports the wrong year for most shows. Four Luxembourg podcasts are delisted from Apple entirely while their pages still appear in search results: Back to Luxembourg, The Lux Life Success Series, Let's Talk About Letz and Letzcast. Do not trust a podcast page you find through a search engine without checking the feed.

Dates on official pages. We opened every government page individually and printed the date we found on it, because Luxembourg's freshness is inverted: the portal front doors are stamped this month while the actual procedure pages carry 2022 and 2023, and the pages in between carry no date at all. Anyone checking the site from the top down would wrongly conclude it is current. The tax authority publishes no English site: its English FAQ sits inside the French tree and carries no date whatsoever.

What is not here. There is no Reddit card on this page. Reddit has been unreachable from every tool available to us for four consecutive builds, so we could neither confirm which Luxembourg subreddits exist nor read a single member count, and we would rather publish nothing than a number we have not seen. There is no Facebook card either: Facebook publishes no member figure for any Luxembourg group, and every figure circulating in published round-ups traces back to sources we could not date. We also left off two of the three largest Luxembourg lifestyle accounts in the country, because both are repost pages with no operator named anywhere.

We check every domain we link for the affiliate and gambling takeovers that have swallowed well-known expat sites in Greece, Belgium and Switzerland. We found none in Luxembourg. We rejected a machine-generated podcast that publishes daily under an invented Luxembourgish host's name, a YouTube channel created in January 2026 that pumps out retirement and salary explainers aimed at exactly these search terms, a price-comparison site that earns commission from the suppliers it ranks, and several relocation and citizenship businesses whose community pages are marketing. Where we have listed something with a commercial interest, including a citizenship service and a language teacher who sells courses, the card says so on its face. Nothing on this page paid to be here.
